BIG MOSCOW PROJECT

Prospectum Studio of Georgi Stanishev has been invited to participate in the Big Moscow competition by Architecture and Design Studio of Andrey Chernikhov, RU, together with few more international design and urban planning bureaus including Tower 151 Architects, HR, Juul/Frost Architects, DK, and McAdam Architects, GB.
In January 2012 the consortium formed has successfully passed the international bidding procedure with over 70 companies worldwide participation, and was contracted for a 6 month works on the four principal topics of the Moscow future development:
Moscow Agglomeration development: 225000 sq km; 18.6 mil population;
New Moscow territory development in the S-W sector of the Moscow city and establishment of city new settlements, or, “Greenfield clusters”: 164000 HA, 1.1 mil population;
Old Moscow territory intensification and re-development of the city “brown fields” – 18% of the total old Moscow territory: 118000 HA, 11.8 mil population;
State Government and Parliamentary centres re-planning and their formulation in new territories.
The consortium has successfully passed all three competition stages and was assessed by an international commission of experts with a descent score: 3rd place at the First Competition stage; 1st place at the Second stage, and 2nd place at the third competition phase.
