EMIVAN I
Interior of a Single-family house in Bankya, Sofia, 2007-2009. The complexity of the house composition is prescribed by the programme that includes two relatively independent sectors: the house for the parents with a living room, hall and full bedroom system, and two mini-apartments for the children. The third sector of the house is the entrance terrace. Both sectors, children and parents, are provided with independent entrances and are linked by a large two-storey common space of the vestibule (foyer),that is opened to the garden. The geometry of the house is defined by the general articulation of the house spaces on sectors: two of them are stepping on the terrain, the third is put on top of these two. Every one of these particles is marked by a specific external surface: plaster, stone (muschelkalk), and bricks. The plot is 1700 sq.m.;the total built area is 850sq.m.
