Three houses in the Varna Sky district

The first three houses here are first phase of a large scale development in one of the green areas of the Varna suburbia hills, which is planned to house over 250 new residence units in houses districts and apartments blocks, serviced by a civic and commercial centre. The three houses are variations of a model unit designed for a very steep terrain with inclination of 42%, and access from the street at its upper side. This access type allows reverted positions of the living areas and the bedroom floor, where the entrance at the upper floor is directly linked to the living, and dining spaces, while the bedrooms and adjacent bathrooms are placed on the floor below, linked to the ground level terrace. The living space has an access to a loggia terrace, separating the kitchen from the hall, and is opened with its 4.0 m height and full glass wall to the East, towards the seascape of the Black Sea horizon. A rooftop skylight above the living room opened to the West, to allow the horizontal sunset light to enter the space at the late hours of the day. All levels of the residence are linked by inner as well as external stairs, thus providing flexibility in communication between multiple levels and terraces of the residence.
